Leadership development
At Laerskool Generaal Beyers we feel very strongly about setting learners up to succeed and therefore we implemented a leadership development program for our grade sevens. Learners are mentored and supported throughout this process.
In Term 1 and 2 all grade 7 learners are given the opportunity to be leaders. They are divided into 5 areas namely; tuck shop, feeding scheme, neatness, playground and environment.
Groups rotate and are given the chance to develop their leadership skills under the mentorship of the leadership committee consisting of selected teachers.
At the end of Term 2 strong leaders are identified on merit for their outstanding performance in Term 1 and 2.
